Curriculum

The curriculum of the Faculty of Dentistry, Hasanuddin University uses the Student Center Learning (SCL) system. The SCL approach was chosen in line with the awareness of the rapid development of dental science and technology, both in content and in depth. The SCL approach is based on constructivist theory which is essential for active and reflective learning for students. This theory is also based on students’ mental strength, internal learning motivation, and learning is determined by the student, also believes that it builds from interactions with other parties. So that learning is a process that is developed individually and is also a social and collaborative process. Learning strategies to support this approach are problem-based learning, case-based learning, peer teaching, project-based small group discussions. This learning activity will help students develop their learning skills (skills for learning).
