PPDGS Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery FKG Unhas hold a Curriculum Refinement in accordance with the 2018 College Curriculum

As mandated by Law No. 12 of 2012 article 35 concerning Higher Education states that the Higher Education Curriculum (KPT) is a set of plans and arrangements regarding the objectives, content, and teaching materials as well as the methods used to guide the implementation of learning activities to achieve the goals of higher education.

The curriculum is developed by each college based on the National Standards of Higher Education (SN Dikti) for each study program which includes the development of intellectual intelligence, noble character and skills.

The Faculty of Dentistry of Hasanuddin University has designed a number of programs related to the development and application of the DTL in the Study Program for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
The application of the KPT is expected to produce superior and character graduates and have national values ​​as well as relevant to national development including the needs of educated and skilled personnel in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 (fourth generation industrial revolution).

In an effort to encourage the realization of the Industrial Era-oriented KPT implementation on July 13-14, 2019 at the Swiss-bel Hotel Hotel Makassar, University Curriculum Preparation was attended by lecturers of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery FKG Hasanuddin University.

The preparation of the University Curriculum aims to compile teaching materials as producers of educated human resources need to measure graduates, so that the graduates produced have the ‘ability’ equivalent to ‘ability’ (learning achievement) that has been formulated in the IQF qualification level.

The College Curriculum Preparation Activity was opened by drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M. Kes., Ph.D., Sp. BM. (K), as Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Hasanuddin University, and followed by all PPDGS counselors Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery FKG Unhas.

In his remarks the Dean of FKG Unhas said that “in the face of global challenges and competition, ratification of Indonesia in various international conventions and facing Globalization and Industrial Era 4.0, the implementation of curriculum and CP oriented KKNI and Industrial Era 4.0 must be implemented immediately, and graduates are expected to become graduates superior and character and have competencies related to 3 (three) new literacies, namely: technology literacy, Big Data literacy and Humanity literacy.

He also said that the World Bank research critics of graduates are: English proficiency, leadership, organization, communication, higher order thinking, and IT skills. ”

In this activity the material was presented by drg. Adam Malik Hamudeng, M.Med.Ed and drg. Irfan Sugianto, M.Med.Ed., Ph.D., as a facilitator on topics: Higher Education Curriculum Preparation, Preparation of Semester Learning Plans, student assessment and as well as sample Format for Semester Learning Planning (RPS) referring to SN Dikti and Learning Strategies , also continued with the practice of developing curriculum and discussions that were quite interactive.

After the participants gained knowledge about the systematic preparation of the higher education curriculum, it was followed by a session compiling and presenting the curriculum of the study program (study program).

The follow-up of this workshop is expected that each participant will immediately implement the curriculum referring to SN Dikti and KKNI oriented and refer to the industrial era 4.0. Participants will be more intensive in applying their KPT, CP and assessment on an ongoing basis.
