The Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) Hasanuddin University (Unhas) held an international scientific activity “The 12th International Scientific Meeting in Dentistry” which was coupled with “The 8th International Conference on Biophysical Technology in Dentistry”.
This activity, which is part of a series of events for the 40th Anniversary of FKG Unhas, took place at the Claro Hotel Makassar, on 16-18 March 2023.
At the opening ceremony, the Head of the Health Service was present as a representative for the Governor of South Sulawesi Province (dr. Hj. Rosmini Pandin, MARS)., Rector of Hasanuddin University (Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc), Chair of the Unhas Academic Senate (Prof. Dr. drg. Bahruddin Thalib, M.Kes., Sp.Pros(K)., Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs (Prof. Muhammad Ruslin, drg.M.Kes.,Ph.D.,Sp.B.M.M.,Subsp .Ortognat-D (K)., Dean of FKG UMI (Prof. Moh Dharmautama, drg., Ph.D., Sp.Pros (K)., Unhas FKG Officials, Unhas FKG Lecturers, Chairperson of PDGI Sulselbar Region, Chairperson PDGI Makassar City Branch.
Chairman of the 12th TIIKG Committee, drg. Mukhtar Nur Anam,, Sp.B.M.M said that in this activity there were 31 main speakers (11 speakers from abroad and 20 speakers from within the country), short lecture speakers (182 people) and poster speakers (14 people). While participants who registered reached 865 people.
Apart from the enthusiasm of the participants, the enthusiasm of the exhibition was also quite high. 29 vendors and 35 dental and non-dental booths participated in this dental exhibition.
Meanwhile, the Dean of FKG Unhas, drg. Irfan Sugianto, M.Med.Ed., Ph.D, in his remarks welcomed all speakers and participants in the 12th TIIKG and 8th ICoBTD activities in 2023.
“This activity is a routine activity organized by FKG Unhas. Participants who attended came from many countries. We hope that with this diversity we can share ideas, knowledge, and experiences to discuss current developments in dentistry,” explained drg. Irfan Sugianto
Before closing his remarks, drg. Irfan Sugianto expressed his gratitude to the Chancellor of Hasanuddin University who has provided full support to FKG Hasanuddin University. Thanks also go to the committee who have worked hard to make this event a success.
After the opening ceremony, an MoU was signed with well-known universities from Japan and Taiwan, namely Niigata University, Japan and Taipei Medical University (TMU)”
