Departemen Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology

 

Oral radiology is the branch of dentistry and discipline of radiology concerned with the production and interpretation of radiographic images, including intraoral and extraoral x-ray that are used for the diagnosis and management of diseases, disorders and conditions of the mouth, face and jaws. In oral radiology, the main techniques and interprets that used are periapical, bite wing, occlusal, Panoramic (OPG), cephalometric, cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) and other pertinent modalities.

On undergraduate level, the students learning related to basic oral radiology, basic interpretation of intraoral and extraoral radiograph, radiographic appearances of dental and pathologic conditions in oral and jaw bone.

The methods of learning such as clinical skills laboratory, chair side teaching and case-based learning. The assessment methods such as multiple-choice question (MCQ), case-based discussion, quick slide.
