The Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Dentistry- Dental Hospital of Universitas Hasanuddin (KEPK FKG-RSGMP UNHAS) was established in 2017 through the Decree of the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry No. 1864/UN/413/KP.19/2017.
This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is the result of extensive and dedicated efforts, driven by sincere intentions and a strong commitment to establishing a reliable ethical guideline for health research. The SOP task force has devoted significant time, energy, and unwavering dedication to formulating this document in a comprehensive and systematic manner.
Our greatest hope is that this SOP will serve as a guided reference for the ethical conduct of research, not only in safeguarding the safety and rights of research participants, but also in ensuring the quality of medical services that are ethical, professional, and accountable.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all parties who have contributed to this effort—particularly the leadership of the Faculty of Dentistry, the Faculty of Medicine as our parent institution, Universitas Hasanuddin as the overarching body, and all other contributors whose names cannot be mentioned individually. Their support and collaboration have provided a strong foundation in our pursuit of high-quality and impactful research.
We sincerely hope that the existence of this Ethics Committee will bring significant benefits to researchers, institutions, and the broader society, contributing meaningfully to the advancement of science and the betterment of the nation.
