Praise and gratitude we pray to the presence of Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala, for His mercy and grace so that this brief information through the Orthodontic Specialist Education Program website, Faculty of Dentistry, Hasanuddin University can be presented.
PPDGS Orthodontic Study Program FKG Unhas as an institution that has main tasks that include the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Education, Research, and Community Service. These three elements are closely related in their implementation. Through a learning process that is conducive to developing knowledge, skills and professional attitudes, as well as legal and ethical aspects, it is hoped that PPDGS Orthodontics FKG Unhas graduates will become orthodontic specialists who can perform orthodontic treatment independently with proficient skills.
Hopefully, PPDGS Orthodontics FKG UH can become a specialist dentist education program that excels in the development of science and technology in the field of orthodontics, in education, research and community service with excellence in development and treatment, especially myofunctional orthodontics.
We thank you for the support that has been given to the PPDGS Orthodontic Unhas study program. Finally, I hope that the PPDGS Orthodontic Unhas will be Rahmatan lil-Alamin for all of us.

The Orthodontic Dentistry Education Study Program, Faculty of Dentistry, Hasanuddin University (PPDGS Orthodonti FKG UH), is the first Orthodontic education established outside Java and is currently the only Orthodontic specialist dentist education in Eastern Indonesia at this time. Starting from the 2016 – 2020 FKG Unhas Strategic Plan which was set in 2016 which proposed the opening of five new Study Programs and one of them was PPDGS Orthodontics. PPDGS Orthodontics FKG Unhas was accredited with minimum accreditation by LAM PTKes on September 29, 2019. After that, obtained a Decree for the Opening of Study Programs by the Chancellor of Unhas, which was on January 23, 2020 and the inauguration was held on Thursday, February 20, 2021 at RSGM Unhas.
The Orthodontic Specialist Education Program of the Faculty of Dentistry, Hasanuddin University has a vision of “an Indonesian Orthodontic Specialist Dentist Education and Research Center with global insight and capabilities with special advantages in the development and application of science and technology in orthodontics at the age of growth and development”.
The mission of the PPDGS Orthodontic Study Program FKG Unhas is the embodiment of the mission of the Faculty and the Vision of the Study Program, namely
The advantages of the PPDGS Orthodontic Study Program FKG Unhas are oriented towards orthodontic treatment for growth and development. The development and application of science and technology at the orthodontic PPDGS FKG Unhas has also implemented the curriculum set by the Orthodontic Collegium and based on the World Federation Organization (WFO) curriculum so that it is hoped that graduates of the PPDGS Orthodontic FKG Unhas have global insight and capabilities, as a manifestation of the spirit of “Indonesian Maritime Continent ” which is the result of a breakdown of the Hasanuddin University Vision.
Currently, the PPDGS Orthodontic Study Program does not yet have alumni and graduates, the first batch is in the 4th semester of the final academic year 2020/2021 period, it is estimated to be able to produce the first alumni in the final academic year 2022/2023.
Orthodontic graduates of FKG Unhas are expected to be able to master science and technology, so that they are able to solve problems in their fields comprehensively, both on a national and global scale according to culture, dynamics, and the demands of service to the community.
